My wonderful husband!

I didn't do a very good job taking pictures today so this picture of my mom is here because I am grateful for her and she is representing all of my dear family who I love and am grateful for.

I am grateful for hot chocolate.

And I am grateful for yummy food, which I enjoy making as much as eating. I still have some catching up to do but this will have to do for now. Happy Thanksgiving!

Daily Gratitude

I am grateful that my children love each other and get along. I don't know if it will always be that way so I am trying to be especially grateful now.

I am grateful for my small appliances. Having lived for 5 years without a dishwasher I will never (or at least try to never) take it for granted. I am also grateful for my washer and dryer and all the other things that make my life easier!

I am grateful for the scriptures! They are my guidebook for life. I don't know what I would do without the blessing of the scriptures.

I am grateful for baby laughter. One laugh from my babies makes all the crying and screaming bearable and raising them worth the hard work.

I am grateful for music! I love singing, playing and listening to it. It also carries the Spirit in a way that nothing else can. The world would be a sad place without music.

Today I am grateful for the sunshine. There is almost nothing better then the sun shining through my windows on cold days making cozy sunspots where I can sit and be warm.

Today being Veteran's Day and all, I am grateful for all those who have and are serving our country, especially those who give their lives to protect our freedom and give that blessings to others as well.

I don't know any service people personally so our flag with have to do. :)

I am grateful for answered prayers! I know that Heavenly Father loves me because He answers even small request that won't really matter in the long run but seem like a big deal now. Like help me get to the gas station without running out of gas or help Kellsie eat her dinner. Of course He answers all my prayers, big and small. Because of this I know that He lives and loves me!

Anyone who knows my kids knows they struggle with food. So today I am grateful that we were able to eat breakfast without complaints or fits and it didn't take an hour either.

Developing an Attitude of Gratitude

I have decided to do a gratitude project during the month of November by taking a picture of something I am grateful for every day. I have taken pictures the last 2 years and I keep meaning to scrapbook them but I've never gotten that far. Now that I have a blog I think I will do it this way. It's much easier. my not stolen wallet. Long story, short, I thought someone had stolen my wallet but then I found it. Yay! It's a lot better then having to replace everything.

Accident

My poor little Addy had an accident yesterday and here are the results.

She was doing her regular activities of dancing and spinning when she tripped and landed her face directly on the windowsill. Her cheek was purple and swollen last night but I still was a little surprised when she woke up this morning with that impressive black eye. She has always been a sweet and happy girl even when she is sick or hurt and this morning was no different when I asked her how her eye felt she said it hurts just a little bit, it's gonna be fine. I knew Addy was ok when one of the first things she asked me today was Mommy do you want to dance with me? We have several trips and falls and accidents everyday so I am glad this is the worst we have ever seen and I hope it stays that way.

Kellsie

Before Kellsie was born I saw this idea and wanted to try it. I have finally put them all together so I could see how she's grown. Do you see the problem we have run into though?

She has hardly grown at all. Especially the last 4 months. Now at 14 months she almost weighs a whole 15 pounds. Oh well at least she's cute even if she is one of the smallest baby ever.

We have been so busy lately that I haven't done much blogging so I need to catch up on our recent events.

July 4th Celebrations

Kellsie turned 1!!!

Lisa, Kyle, and Kayley were sealed together as an eternal family on July 22.

The 22nd would also have been Dad's 53 birthday so we had a little putting tournament at the cemetery and the winner (Aunt Lori) got to release some balloons.

On July 26th Lisa and Kyle welcomed Oliver James to their family

And finally on the 28th we said goodbye to Jeff who left for the MTC.

Now that I am all caught we'll see if I can stay on top of things. I hope everyone is having a happy summer!!!
